Project Manager—Silver Spring, MD
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact across clients, vendors, and internal teams to establish strong working relationships and resolve project challenges efficiently.
- Plan, manage, and track multiple concurrent projects across functions and locations, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Use standardized project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, task lists) to monitor progress and communicate updates.
- Define program scope, resource needs, performance requirements, and success metrics; delegate responsibilities and evaluate outcomes.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain consistent communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Present key project updates—including timelines, budgets, and technical progress—to senior leadership.
- Identify and manage project risks from the outset; implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays and ensure quality standards.
- Ensure transparent and effective communication of project status, risks, and decisions across stakeholders.
- Facilitate organized team meetings, track and resolve action items, and document decisions.
- Apply risk management and business analysis techniques to proactively address project constraints and dependencies.
- Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to align project outcomes with strategic business objectives and product value propositions.
- Ensure timely execution and successful launch of diagnostic testing and related services.
- Provides coaching, mentoring and feedback to Core Team members, Projects Managers, Functional Leaders; Creates and sustains an inclusive environment.

- Supports the maintenance, development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Supports and participates in special company-wide projects

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or Life Sciences
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the healthcare, medical laboratory, medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry or a related field.
- Experience managing diagnostic assay test development and validation projects with healthcare providers, wet lab scientists, and software engineers under design control and in compliance within a regulated industry (e.g. FDA 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 15189, CLIA/CAP, NYSDOH)
- Ability to map out components of a project and build estimated timelines for work using excellent communication and collaboration skills, demonstrating strong social skills and the ability to establish solid relationships and elicit agreement from a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment utilizing exceptional analytical and strategic problem-solving skills
- A detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, adept at both written and verbal communication with small and large groups
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, Life Sciences or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in healthcare, LDT or Medical Device (IVD) industry, specifically engaged in product development systems, logistics and deployment of products with commercial role out experience
- Experience managing diagnostic assay test development and validation projects with healthcare providers, wet lab scientists, and software engineers under design control and in compliance within a regulated industry (e.g. FDA 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 15189, CLIA/CAP, NYSDOH)
