Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager with 3+ years of experience to oversee projects involving purchase orders above designated approval thresholds. This role is responsible for managing project execution from planning through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, engineering, procurement, or industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects involving high-value purchase orders and capital expenditures.
- Review project requirements, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, production, finance, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project timelines, costs, and deliverables.
- Ensure purchase orders comply with company approval policies and budget requirements.
- Track project progress and communicate updates to management and stakeholders.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract performance.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve project efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, procurement, or industrial environments.
- Experience managing projects involving large purchase orders or capital equipment.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and budget management.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
