The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing manufacturing projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality, safety, and operational requirements. The Project Manager works cross-functionally with engineering, production, supply chain, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to drive successful project outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage manufacturing projects, including new product launches, process improvements, facility expansions, equipment installations, and operational initiatives.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate activities across multiple departments to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, procurement, and supply chain teams to support project execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Oversee vendor and contractor activities as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, budgets, and lessons learned.
- Resolve project-related issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Support change management activities associated with project implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
