Job summary

Confidential Employer in Madison seeks a Project Manager to lead commercial plumbing construction projects from estimating through final completion. You will prepare estimates, review plans, and coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.

The role offers ownership over project budgets, schedules, and change orders, with an incentive plan on top of base pay.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of plumbing construction PM experience or 2+ years journeyman-level commercial plumbing experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Experience with estimating, job costing, budgeting, and project scheduling.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial plumbing construction projects from estimating through final completion.
  • Prepare estimates, material takeoffs, proposals, and bid packages.
  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite walkthroughs.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and schedule of values.
  • Monitor labor, material costs, job costing, and project profitability.
  • Purchase materials and coordinate project resources.
  • Manage project schedules while supporting field foremen and subcontractors.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage change orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, customers, and field teams.
  • Attend project meetings and monthly WIP meetings.
  • Build relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, and general contractors.
  • Support business development efforts and identify new project opportunities.

Location:Madison, Wisconsin - This is a full-time, 100% on-site opportunity working closely with field teams, customers, and leadership while managing commercial plumbing construction projects from start to finish.

Note:Candidates must have at least 2+ years of Project Manager experience in plumbing construction or 2+ years of journeyman-level commercial plumbing construction experience. Commercial plumbing experience is required.
