Job summary

Mattox Plumbing seeks a Project Manager (Plumbing - New Construction) to oversee multiple new construction projects from kickoff through closeout. You will lead plumbing teams, coordinate engineers, installers, subcontractors, and internal staff to ensure high standards of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Journeyman Plumber (or higher) with 3–5 years of plumbing experience in new construction, preferably multifamily, and strong blueprint-reading and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Plumbing license (or higher) required.
  • 3-5 years plumbing experience in new construction (multifamily preferred).
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, Gmail and ConDoc.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage multiple plumbing projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Purchase materials and manage subcontractors and installation teams.
  • Ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Set project milestones and proactively manage risks.
  • Oversee contracts, cost control, and service quality.
  • Prepare proposals, change orders, invoices, and support collections.
  • Communicate regularly with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Keep accurate documentation of progress, materials, and scope changes.
  • Identify and resolve issues to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Collaborate with technicians, subcontractors, and leadership.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to field teams.

Location: Southeast Wisconsin (Onsite Mondays & Fridays)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM | On-Call (as needed)

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + auto allowance

An MRA Member headquartered in the Southeast WI area, is seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong plumbing expertise to oversee multiple new construction projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for a licensed Journeyman Plumber (or higher) who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and can confidently lead teams while keeping projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for customers while coordinating engineering, installation teams, subcontractors, and internal staff to ensure every project meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You’ll Do

Must-Haves
  • Journeyman Plumbing License (or higher)
  • 3-5 years of plumbing experience in new construction (multifamily preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Management, or related field
  • Experience with multifamily housing, apartments, senior living facilities, townhomes, and commercial projects
  • Construction industry background
  • Financial analysis and cost control skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Gmail, ConDoc, and Procore
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, adaptable mindset
Schedule & Location
  • Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • On-call rotation
  • Must be onsite at corporate office on Mondays and Fridays
  • Candidates may reside anywhere in southeastern Wisconsin
