Job summary

Plains All American is seeking a Project Manager for our Midland, Texas office. You will define project scope, develop preliminary designs, cost estimates, schedules, risk registers, and execution plans for viable projects, while providing technical consultation to project teams and Operations.

The role requires guiding cost estimating practices, maintaining benchmarked data, and ensuring designs comply with regulatory requirements; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required and eligible for Texas registration
• Minimum 5 years of pipeline and oil/gas processing, including design, construction and project management
• Familiarity with labor, safety, and environmental regulations; U.S. codes and standards knowledge
• Knowledge of AACE and PMI estimating and project management best practices
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Establish project scope and alternatives with Business Development and Execution
• Lead project planning sessions and develop scopes for estimates
• Develop Class estimates, risks, and schedules to support opportunities
• Provide estimate reviews and feedback to ensure accuracy and credibility
• Use PDRI to measure scope completeness and maintain benchmarking data
• Manage multiple assignments and coordinate diverse stakeholders and contractors
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Support Lookbacks, contingency modeling, and CQMS session facilitation
• Maintain cost estimating practices and industry benchmarks
