About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial office fit-out and tenant improvement (TI) construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial office fit-out and tenant improvement projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, property managers, and subcontractors throughout each phase of construction.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Monitor project costs, approve invoices, and manage project financial performance.
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve field issues.
- Manage project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
- Demonstrated experience managing office interiors, tenant improvement, or commercial fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
- Knowledge of local Dallas building codes and permitting processes.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- PMP certification is a plus.
