Job summary

Canient Search Partners assists a well-established Dallas-based commercial construction firm in hiring a Senior Project Manager. The role leads commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, subcontractors and client communications to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The successful candidate will have 4+ years in commercial PM, a strong project list, and proficiency in Procore, MS Project or Primavera.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Experience with Procore, MS Project, Primavera or similar CM software.
• 4+ years as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
• Proven track record delivering $20M–$70M+ projects.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and change management.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and company procedures.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project closeout documentation.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project engineers and assistant project managers.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual oversees project scope, schedule, budget, subcontractor coordination, and client communication while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including preconstruction, procurement, execution, and closeout
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
• Lead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and change management
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal project teams
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control requirements, and company procedures
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project closeout documentation
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project engineers and assistant project managers
• Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to maintain project performance and client satisfaction

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
• Must show an extensive project list with various jobs built as a lead commercial PM
• Demonstrated success managing projects ranging from $20M to $70M+
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
