Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead municipal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout in Minnesota.

You will develop schedules and budgets, coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and officials, manage RFIs and change orders, and ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
• Proven experience delivering municipal or public-sector projects.
• Knowledge of public bidding procedures and contract administration.
• Experience with municipalities, park districts, or public owners.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple municipal construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractor buyout, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate with municipal owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and public officials throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract administration, and project documentation.
• Monitor project financial performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Partner with field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with public-sector clients to support repeat business opportunities.

Due to continued growth in their municipal division, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead public construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Description

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
