Job summary

MPI, a well-established employee-owned general contractor, seeks a Design/Build Project Leader in Lakeville, MN to run multiple commercial projects from preconstruction through completion. You will mentor PMs and engineers, oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and risk management, while partnering with clients, architects and subs to deliver safe, on-time results.

Experience in healthcare or large commercial projects, strong leadership, and Procore/Microsoft Project proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
• Proven success managing large-scale or multiple concurrent commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, project controls, and risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring project teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, industrial, manufacturing, hospitality, or large commercial projects is highly preferred.

Job Description

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

10+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.

Proven success managing large-scale or multiple concurrent commercial projects.

Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, project controls, and risk management.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring project teams.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.

Experience with healthcare, higher education, industrial, manufacturing, hospitality, or large commercial projects is highly preferred.

Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
