Michael Page is seeking a driven Project Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary construction projects in the Commercial & Retail sectors, with a clear path to a Senior Project Manager role within the firm. The role focuses on delivering ground-up and tenant improvement work on local projects, with a culture that emphasizes career growth and leadership development.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in retail, commercial and ground-up work, strong knowledge of construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of Project Management construction experience on retail, commercial, and ground-up projects
• Motivated to learn and advance quickly
• Working knowledge of commercial construction technology; proficient with construction docs, specs, and drawings
• Excellent communication with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful management of construction projects, providing leadership to the team to meet goals and client expectations.
• Coordinate project requirements and lead collaboration with other disciplines.
• Review reporting systems and prepare comprehensive reports for clients and senior management detailing progress and costs.
• Promote and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare packages for competitive bidding, analyze bids, and make award recommendations.
• Establish and monitor project costs and schedules.
• Review vendor submittals and expedite delivery of materials/equipment.
• Prepare project status reports to keep clients informed and coordinated.
• Develop site utilization plans and establish crew sizes.

Description

• Oversee the successful management of construction projects, providing leadership to the team in achieving project goals, objectives, and client expectations.
• Ensure efficient coordination of project requirements, leading the team in collaborative and synergistic efforts with other disciplines.
• Review all reporting systems and procedures, and prepare comprehensive reports to clients and senior management, detailing progress and costs.

• Prepare individual packages for competitive bidding of project work, receive, analyze, and clarify all bids, and make award recommendations.
• Establish and monitor project costs and schedules.
• Receive, review, and process all vendor submittals, including expediting the delivery of materials and equipment.
• Prepare all required project status reports to keep clients informed and coordinated.
• Develop and implement site utilization plans, and establish the necessary crew sizes

Profile

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related area of study
• 5+ years of Project Management construction experience working on retail, commercial, and groundup projects
• Motivated to learn and advance at a fast pace
• Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
• Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
