Jobot in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multifamily and student housing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, and performance, coordinating with internal development, design, and construction teams as well as external consultants and subcontractors. A Bachelor's in CM/Engineering/Architecture and 5-10+ years PM experience are preferred.

Job Details

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multifamily and student housing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and overall project performance to ensure successful delivery
  • Coordinate with internal development, design, and construction teams as well as external consultants and subcontractors
  • Manage procurement, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 5-10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on multifamily and/or student housing
  • Proven experience managing ground-up, large-scale residential projects
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and construction operations
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with purpose-built student housing projects or high-density multifamily developments
  • Familiarity with design-build or integrated project delivery methods
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
