Candidates with 58 years of IT project management experience, a proven record of delivering complex technology programs, and experience managing Salesforce implementations will be particularly well positioned for an interview.

Must Haves
  • IT Project Management Experience: A minimum of 58 years managing complex technology projects, including responsibility for scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and delivery outcomes.

  • Software Implementation Expertise: Demonstrated experience overseeing end-to-end software development and implementation, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Project Planning and Tracking: Proven ability to develop detailed project plans, dependency diagrams, milestones, resource estimates, schedules, and performance tracking mechanisms across multiple workstreams.

  • Budget and Contract Oversight: Ability to monitor project expenditures, review vendor invoices, track contractual deliverables, identify budget discrepancies, and communicate financial risks to senior leadership.

  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and lead teams in a matrixed environment.

What the Client Needs You to Do

The organization needs a results-driven Project Manager to coordinate the implementation of a modern, unified Salesforce platform supporting licensing, permitting, and inspection operations. You will oversee delivery activities across business and technical teams, maintain vendor accountability, resolve project dependencies, and ensure that milestones, budgets, and quality expectations remain on track. Success in this role depends on translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, enabling informed decision-making, and delivering a reliable digital solution that improves operational efficiency and the end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Project Scope and Objectives: Partner with product leadership, senior management, technical teams, business representatives, and external vendors to establish project goals, deliverables, success measures, and alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Develop Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain project charters, scope statements, implementation plans, status reports, decision logs, operational checklists, and other documentation needed for effective governance.

  • Manage Schedules and Dependencies: Build detailed work plans, resource estimates, milestone schedules, and dependency diagrams. Maintain project timelines in enterprise portfolio management tools such as Microsoft Project Online.

  • Oversee Delivery Performance: Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality throughout implementation. Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular progress updates to product leadership and senior management.

  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Serve as the central communication point among business stakeholders, technical specialists, vendors, and partner organizations. Organize meetings, document decisions, assign action items, and monitor follow-through.

  • Manage Risks and Escalations: Identify emerging issues, assess their potential impact, develop mitigation plans, and coordinate resolution across organizational boundaries. Escalate critical decisions and delivery concerns to the appropriate leadership.

  • Support Technical Governance: Coordinate architectural assessments, compliance reviews, technical documentation, and other implementation activities required to support secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

  • Lead Testing and Acceptance: Develop acceptance testing plans, validate test scenarios with business users, coordinate testing activities, track defects, and facilitate formal acceptance of delivered functionality.

  • Maintain Project Access and Resources: Ensure team members have appropriate access to project systems, documentation, testing environments, demonstrations, and required software licenses. Maintain accurate team rosters and access records.

  • Monitor Financial and Vendor Performance: Maintain budget trackers, review vendor billing, monitor contractual commitments, investigate discrepancies, and communicate financial or delivery risks to senior stakeholders.

Additional Information
  • Position Type: IT Project Manager, enterprise software implementation.

  • Primary Technology: Salesforce-based licensing, permitting, and inspection platform.

  • Project Environment: Large-scale modernization involving multiple business functions, technical teams, external vendors, and organizational stakeholders.
