Job summary

Jobot is seeking an ambitious Project Manager for our Mechanical/HVAC contracting team based in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. You will oversee planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC and mechanical system projects, coordinating with clients, engineers, and field staff to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, 5+ years of project management experience, and proficiency with project management

• 5+ years of experience managing mechanical or HVAC construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems including thermal storage, cogeneration, and variable air volume systems.
• Proficiency in project management software and BIM tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Coordinate with design teams and field staff to ensure alignment with project goals and technical specifications.
• Oversee scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality expectations.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Implement design-build and design-assist delivery methods to optimize cost and schedule performance.

Job Details

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC and mechanical system projects, including chillers, boilers, custom fabrication, and process piping. You’ll work closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
