This position combines business development and project management responsibilities, targeting food manufacturers and engineering firms nationally. You will manage projects from proposal through installation while actively engaging customers and supporting sales growth.

Responsibilities
- Prospect and identify new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and industry research.
- Respond to RFQs/RFPs with tailored technical proposals.
- Develop scopes of work and detailed cost estimates for new projects.
- Set and attend appointments with potential and existing clients.
- Make multiple daily calls and customer contacts.
- Provide technical assistance to customer inquiries regarding company equipment and services.
- Assist in developing solutions to establish new projects.
- Travel at least twice a month to develop project scopes and support sales inquiries.
- Manage projects from start to completion.
- Coordinate with internal design and fabrication teams.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor services.
- Keep customers apprised of project milestones, budgets, and schedules.
- Identify, document, and process change orders effectively.
- Provide technical support and recommendations on company systems and services.
- Communicate proactively with customers on project progress and issues.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience (automation or conveyor equipment).
- Project management experience.
- Good customer-facing skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of process and/or packaging systems.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in plant maintenance or capital project management.
- Hands-on knowledge of sheet metal and machine shop operations including welding, shear, brake press, and finishing.
- Knowledge of millwright procedures including equipment installation, dismantling, repairs, sanitary and process piping.
- Experience in process and packaging system design including material handling systems, conveyors, mezzanines, mixing and seasoning, piping, electrical & controls.
- Relationships in the Food and Beverage Industry.
Work Environment
- Based in Irving, TX with relocation to Duncanville, TX planned for summer.
- Direct hire, full-time position.
- Requires travel at least twice a month.
