Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking candidates for a Direct Hire role in Irving, TX, with planned relocation to Duncanville, TX this summer. Openings: 3. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 DOE.

Travel at least twice monthly; relocation assistance may be offered. Responsibilities include developing scopes, proposals, and managing automation projects from start to finish. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing automation or conveyors, strong project management, and the ability to read mechanical

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing automation or conveyor equipment.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of process and/or packaging systems.
• Good customer-facing skills.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and identify new business opportunities via cold calling, referrals, and research.
• Respond to RFQs/RFPs with tailored technical proposals.
• Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for new projects.
• Set and attend appointments with clients.
• Provide technical assistance on manufacturing automation and conveyors.
• Help develop solutions to establish new projects.
• Travel at least twice a month to shape scopes and support sales.
• Manage projects from start to finish with internal teams.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor services.
• Keep customers informed on milestones, budgets, and schedules.
• Document and process change orders effectively.
• Provide technical support and recommendations on company systems.
• Communicate progress and issues proactively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and identify new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and industry research.
• Respond to RFQs/RFPs with tailored technical proposals.
• Develop scopes of work and detailed cost estimates for new projects.
• Set and attend appointments with potential and existing clients.
• Provide technical assistance related to manufacturing automation and conveyor equipment.
• Assist in developing solutions to establish new projects.
• Travel at least twice a month to develop project scopes and support sales inquiries.
• Manage projects from start to completion, coordinating with internal design and fabrication teams.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor services.
• Keep customers informed of project milestones, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify, document, and process change orders effectively.
• Provide technical support and recommendations on company systems and services.
• Communicate proactively with customers on project progress and issues.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation or conveyor equipment.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of process and/or packaging systems.
• Good customer-facing skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong customer service, technical design, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance or capital project management.
• Hands-on knowledge of sheet metal and machine shop operations including welding, shear, brake press, and finishing.
• Knowledge of millwright procedures including equipment installation, dismantling, repairs, sanitary and process piping.
• Experience in process and packaging system design including material handling systems, conveyors, mezzanines, mixing and seasoning, piping, electrical & controls.
• Relationships in the Food and Beverage Industry.

Work Environment

• Position based in Irving, TX with relocation to Duncanville, TX planned for summer.
• Direct hire, full-time role.
• Requires travel at least twice a month.
