Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd is assisting a leading insurance broking and advisory firm in expanding its Private Equity and M&A practice. You will lead and support commercial insurance due diligence across PE transactions, managing engagements from initial review to completion.

Candidates will have 1–10 years' experience in brokerage or carrier environments, ideally with exposure to insurance due diligence in an M&A context.

Qualifications

• 1–10 years' experience in brokerage or carrier environments.
• Experience with insurance due diligence in M&A is preferred.
• Strong grounding in commercial insurance and a genuine interest in PE deals.

Responsibilities

Job description

We have been retained by a leading insurance broking and advisory firm in their search for develop the Private Equity and M&A practice offering. The firm advises private equity clients across the full transaction lifecycle — from pre-close diligence through to post-acquisition integration — and is looking to strengthen its team across a range of levels, from Associate through to Director.

You will lead and support commercial insurance due diligence across private equity transactions, managing engagements from initial review through to completion. This will include analysing target company insurance programmes — covering structure, claims history, collateral and spend — to identify uninsured risks and coverage gaps, working closely with deal teams, target company leadership and third-party advisers to ensure a thorough and efficient process.

Candidates will have between one and ten years of experience gained within a brokerage or carrier environment, ideally with exposure to insurance due diligence in an M&A context. A solid grounding in commercial insurance lines is essential, as is a genuine interest in working directly with private equity funds and deal-side advisers.
