Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Low Voltage Project Manager to oversee assigned projects, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance.   • Recruit, onboard, train and mentor Network Operations Technicians across an assigned region.
  • Monitor regional network operations performance through audits, reporting, and site inspections.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring regional projects meet client expectations.
  • Manage project profitability and review job costs, invoices, and financial reporting.
  • Serve as liaison with customers and handle interface with customer representatives.
  • Oversee staffing and HR issues for project staff, ensuring performance.

Job Summary

The Low Voltage Project Manager is the overall manager for assigned project(s). The Project Manager ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the Company’s requirements, including safety, quality, management, and financial performance. All aspects of the assigned project(s) must be carried out as efficiently as possible with respect to staffing, materials management, financial management, customer care, and customer delivery goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Technical Manager and Engineering to define and implement FDC network operations policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Recruit, onboard, train and mentor Network Operations Technicians across an assigned region.
  • Monitor regional network operations performance through audits, reporting, and site inspections.
  • Capture lessons learned and feedback to strengthen the group’s network operations program.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for site‑level quality issues.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring all regional projects meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and, if necessary, discharge all security systems project staff. Manage all human‑resource issues and provide performance recommendations.
  • Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
  • Plan for, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
  • Review all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including preparation of invoices, customer collections, and periodic financial reporting.
  • Manage all related quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
  • Act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
  • Create, develop, and implement account process improvements.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Compensation

Minimum: USD $115,000.00 / yr.

Maximum: USD $135,000.00 / yr.

Qualifications

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Self‑motivated, positive in approach, professional, and capable of leading others to create and implement project improvement processes.
  • Promote Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and partners.
  • Proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills with effective written and oral communication.
  • High skill level interpreting blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to travel within branch or regional territory as needed.
  • Ability to learn Company and customer project management systems.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Company‑sponsored American Express Card.
  • Proficient use of trade tools: punch tool with 110‑block and 66‑block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt‑ohmmeter, 4‑pair continuity tester, and 5‑gang punch tool.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements
  • At least a high‑school diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience in customer interface, serving as liaison between the customer and Company.
  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
  • Meeting Company minimum driving standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/project simultaneously.
  • Verifiable ability to define a project, create a scope of work, develop detailed tasks, and manage to final completion and customer turnover.
