FIS is seeking a Project Manager Lead to guide complex government solutions initiatives (EBT, SNAP, and payment processing) with state agencies and internal teams. You will drive delivery across the full lifecycle, mentor teams, and ensure governance and risk are managed for successful outcomes.

Strong client relationships, cross-functional leadership, and a solid background in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid PM practices are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex technology, payments, or government program implementations in a client-facing environment.
• Strong knowledge of EBT, SNAP and government benefits programs.
• Advanced expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and manage competing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

About the Role

As a Project Manager Lead , you will lead complex government solutions initiatives supporting EBT, SNAP, and payment processing programs. You will serve as a strategic partner to state agencies and internal stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of high-impact projects. This role requires strong client relationship management, leadership across cross-functional teams, and expertise in driving projects through the full delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale EBT, SNAP, and government solutions projects from initiation through implementation and production support.
• Serve as the primary client-facing leader, managing relationships with state agencies, executives, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, governance, and resource plans while ensuring alignment with client and business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management credential.
• Experience supporting government agencies, public sector technology programs, or regulated environments.
• Prior experience within the financial technology, payments, EBT, or SNAP industry.
