Job summary

Greif Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead cross‑functional initiatives from inception to completion. You will align project work with business objectives, manage timelines and budgets, and report progress to leadership across IT and business teams.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and governance discipline to deliver measurable business value and process improvements across our global operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross‑functional projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones and cultures is preferred.
  • Experience in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong risk management, planning, and execution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and drive alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and roadmaps to ensure timely delivery.
  • Define objectives, scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics for assigned projects.
  • Align project activities with strategic business goals and priorities.
  • Drive project execution by proactively managing tasks, resources, and deliverables.
  • Engage with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, expectations, and project priorities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries.
  • Provide clear, concise updates on project progress, challenges, and outcomes to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Develop contingency plans and elevate critical risks as needed.
  • Manage project changes through a formal change control process, assessing impacts and executing them in a methodical and coordinated manner.
  • Prepare and deliver status reports, executive summaries, and dashboards to provide visibility into project health.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Promote and implement the organization’s best practices, standards, and methodologies across projects.
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations to ensure efficient utilization.
  • Optimize financial and personnel resources to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Develop a change‑management plan focusing on awareness, engagement, communication, and training to effectively prepare stakeholders for adoption.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to project processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize project delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as required by project scope.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with project objectives and contractual agreements.

Project Leadership and Planning
