Job summary

Stantec is seeking a mid-level Interior Design professional to join our Houston buildings team. This role focuses on leading interdisciplinary teams across interior design and architecture services in education, health, government and more, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will manage client relationships, develop proposals, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Interior Design or related field is required.
• Licensed or pursuing Interior Design Licensure is required.
• Portfolio required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships and coordinate with consultants, team members and clients.
• Serve as single point of contact with the client, managing the clients expectations and experience.
• Participate in business development opportunities for the firm including assisting in responses to RFPs, making project presentations, calling on prospects, networking, writing articles and participating in professional seminars.
• Develop project proposals, fees and Owner and Consultant agreements.
• Forecast and organize project team for design, development, production, and project document delivery and construction administration.
• Develop, monitor and maintain project work plans, schedule and add service agreements.
• Ensure budget, code and jurisdictional requirements.
• Organize client meetings and issue meeting minutes.
• Provide overall management of A/E team(s), delegating project tasks as required.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to project team.
• Review invoices and monitor billing reports and accounts receivable.
• Successfully execute projects by following Stantecs and Clients protocols and procedures to meet the project goals.
• Investigate processes and technology to improve efficiency.
• Follow established standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Comply with professional ethical standards and codes.
