Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Project Manager for on-site work in Carlsbad, CA to lead design-build food and beverage facility projects. You will coordinate design, engineering, and field teams to ensure scope, cost, and schedule meet targets across the project life cycle.

The role emphasizes leadership, organization, and communication, with travel as needed. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in design-build, MEP experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, MS Project, and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• 3+ years in design-build with in-house engineering disciplines.
• 3+ years on MEP industrial construction projects, preferably food/beverage or pharma.
• 3+ years in Building construction, scheduling, estimating, and safety.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
• Overnight travel at least 50% per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing projects from planning through commissioning.
• Develop project scope, budget, schedule, and critical path elements.
• Develop RFI and prepare purchase/work authorizations.
• Maintain client SharePoint site and project records.
• Coordinate design teams and construction activities.
• Develop monthly reports and manage project forecasting.
• Oversee permits, codes, and regulatory approvals.
