Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Project Manager III to guide value-based strategy initiatives and population health programs. You will coordinate with physicians, pharmacy, nursing, and other caregivers to implement technology solutions, optimize clinical workflows, and improve patient outcomes.

Hybrid role with remote work 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and on-site 1–2 days weekly at CCAC or Independence FHC locations. Strong PM, stakeholder management, and healthcare experience preferred.

As Project Manager III, you will lead and manage complex projects focused on value-based strategy initiatives and population health programs. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with physicians, pharmacy, nursing, social work, and other caregivers, with a primary focus on Medicare Advantage and ACO populations. You will support initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and help patients remain healthy and at home longer, including implementing technology solutions, improving clinical workflows such as discharge planning and scheduling, developing QRGs and patient documentation, and coordinating delegated materials. As part of these efforts, you will facilitate meetings, track milestones, coordinate stakeholders, identify barriers, and keep projects moving forward to ensure successful implementation and alignment with organizational objectives.

A caregiver in this role works remotely from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with an anticipated on-site requirement of 1–2 days per week at either the CCAC or Independence FHC location.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Manage all aspects of moderately complex projects.
  • Lead/manage medium to large projects, leveraging basic project management tools to deliver results.
  • Accomplish project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepare and complete action plans.
  • Implement production, productivity, quality and customer‑service standards.
  • Resolve problems.
  • Complete audits and identify trends.
  • Determine system improvements and implement changes.
  • Meet financial objectives by participating in developing forecasting requirements.
  • Participate in preparing an annual budget and scheduling expenditures.
  • Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field and three years of project experience in an assigned area (i.e., progressively responsible experience supporting a clinical system and/or data and financial analysis)
  • OR Associate’s degree and five years of experience
  • OR Master’s degree and two years of experience
  • Effective relationship building skills

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Health system or healthcare experience
  • Strong project management skills (charters, documentation, coordination)
  • Experience with project documentation and project charters
  • Understanding of market network services and insurance contracts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Epic
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Physical Requirements:
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.
  • Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
  • Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $63,250.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $96,467.50

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
