J2 Building Consultants is seeking a Project Manager II to independently manage envelope-focused projects, communicating confidently with clients and balancing technical, financial, and project responsibilities.

The role involves leading building envelope consulting efforts across roofing, waterproofing, cladding, windows, and facade systems, with travel to project sites and a mix of office and field work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in construction, consulting, architecture, or related industries.
• Intermediate knowledge of building envelope systems and related assemblies.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects with minimal oversight.
• Strong organizational and financial coordination skills.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Familiarity with project management or consulting software.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage projects from kickoff through completion, including scheduling, documentation, budgeting, inspections, and client communication.
• Lead client communication as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Conduct site assessments, review construction conditions, analyze deficiencies, and contribute technical recommendations and reporting.
• Balance multiple priorities by coordinating timelines, deliverables, subcontractors, and internal resources.
• Solve problems early by identifying risks, delays, or issues and working toward proactive solutions.

J2 Building Consultants is looking for a Project Manager II who can independently manage projects, communicate confidently with clients, and balance technical, financial, and project responsibilities in a fast-moving consulting environment.

This role is ideal for someone with solid construction or consulting experience who's ready to step into greater autonomy, technical complexity, and client leadership.

You’ll lead building envelope consulting projects involving roofing, waterproofing, cladding, windows, facade systems, and exterior building assemblies.

What You'll Do

• Independently Manage Projects: Run projects from kickoff through completion, including scheduling, documentation, budgeting, inspections, and client communication.
• Lead Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform Technical Evaluations: Conduct site assessments, review construction conditions, analyze deficiencies, and contribute technical recommendations and reporting.
• Balance Multiple Priorities: Manage multiple active projects while coordinating timelines, deliverables, subcontractors, and internal resources.
• Solve Problems Before They Escalate: Identify risks, delays, or project issues early and work proactively toward solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3-5 years of project management experience within the construction, consulting, architecture, engineering, related industries.
