Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Building Enclosure & Restoration Lead in Washington, DC. Join a Tier 1 AEC firm known for tackling complex building envelope projects including investigations, restoration design, waterproofing, and curtain walls.

Lead investigations, design repairs, and oversee projects from start to finish. Requires a PE or RA license and 5+ years in related disciplines. Competitive compensation with bonuses and strong benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture is essential.
  • PE or RA license is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in building envelope, restoration, façade consulting or related disciplines.
  • Strong technical, written, and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small to mid-sized projects from investigation through design and construction support.
  • Evaluate existing buildings and develop repair/restoration solutions.
  • Lead building envelope investigations and remediation efforts.
  • Perform field assessments and water infiltration testing.
  • Design repairs for façades, roofs, windows, curtain walls, waterproofing systems, and related components.
  • Work directly with architects, contractors, owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior staff and support technical development within the team.
  • Assist with peer reviews, expert consulting, and construction administration activities.

Senior Building Enclosure & Restoration Lead - Washington, DC

I'm currently working with a Tier 1 AEC consulting firm that is looking to add a Building Enclosure & Restoration Lead to its Washington, DC team.

This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized engineering consultancy known for tackling complex projects involving building envelope investigations, restoration design, waterproofing, façade systems, roofing, curtain walls, and forensic evaluations. The firm has a strong reputation across the industry and offers the chance to work on both new construction and existing building challenges alongside some of the most respected professionals in the field.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing small to mid-sized projects from investigation through design and construction support.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary ranging from approximately $130K-$170K+ depending on experience and level.
  • Eligible for annual bonus opportunities.
