Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager II for our Midwest region, onsite in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids. The role requires 6+ years in project management within commercial construction and is ideal for someone experienced in design-build projects.

You will lead budgets, schedules, and subcontract negotiations while coordinating with owners, field teams, and internal teams to drive project success. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management.
• 6+ years of proven project management experience in commercial construction.
• Experience managing projects in a design-build environment is preferred.

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Project Manager II to join our Midwest region team! This role is onsite in our Des Moines or Cedar Rapids office. Some things you can expect to do:

• Working with project schedules, cost projections, contracts, project status reports & more.
• Lead construction progress meetings.
• Oversee design development.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, profit projections, schedules & bid documents.
• Negotiate and award subcontracts.
• Help conduct jobsite coordination meetings and job status reports.
• Work directly with owners/clients, field teams, subcontractors and various internal teams for support.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering/Management
• 6+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living and multi-family experience preferred).
• Proven ability to manage commercial projects in the $1 - $75 million range.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
• Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors and owner/clients.
• Able to travel for projects if needed.

Compensation:

The base salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
