Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) seeks a Project Manager 1 - Commercial Construction in Minnesota. You will lead project direction for Healthcare, Aviation, Corporate Environments, Life Sciences & Research, Education and other facilities.

You will build lasting relationships with clients, design teams and subcontractors, ensure safety standards, manage preconstruction, scheduling and budgeting, and align with JE Dunn’s values and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Willing to work non-traditional hours; may require travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure an injury-free environment.
• Manage prestart process and buyout schedule.
• Coordinate preconstruction, quantity takeoff, bid packages and schedule.
• Lead submittal process and change requests; ensure timely approvals.
• Develop project schedule with the Superintendent and apply Lean practices.
• Interface with owner, design team, and subcontractors to align on scope and costs.
• Monitor costs, budget, and profitability; provide regular reporting.
