Job description

Build the spaces that keep New York running.

A long-established, privately owned New York General Contractor and Construction Manager is growing its healthcare team and looking for a Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of healthcare projects valued in the tens of millions. This is a full-lifecycle builder, delivering everything from preconstruction and ground-up new build to complex fit-outs and renovations, for both public and private sector clients. Healthcare sits alongside a broad book of commercial, government, and infrastructure work, so the pipeline is deep and steady, and the firm isn’t tied to any single market.

Healthcare is some of the most demanding work in construction: you’re delivering in and around live, occupied facilities where phasing, coordination, and precision aren’t optional. You’ll own your projects from the contract through to turnover, backed by a real project team and a firm that’s built to last. This is a full-time, in-person role based out of the firm’s Manhattan office.

The projects you’ll run
Large-scale complex healthcare builds in the tens of millions
Ground-up, gut rehab, and modification/renovation work
Heavily phased projects on occupied and active facilities
Delivery alongside a dedicated Superintendent and full project team
What the role looks like
  • Lead overall delivery of healthcare projects from preconstruction through close-out

  • Manage change orders, RFIs, and full project documentation in Procore
  • Lead OAC meetings and coordinate daily with owners, architects, engineers, and the field team
  • Build and maintain the project schedule in partnership with the Superintendent, including phasing around live facilities
  • Drive QA/QC, commissioning, closeout, and a clean handover to the client
  • Partner with the Superintendent on site safety and healthcare-specific controls (ICRA, ILSM)
What we’re looking for
  • 7+ years of project management experience delivering healthcare construction projects

  • Strong contract, budget, and cost-control background
  • Working knowledge of NYC DOB, FDNY, and OSHA requirements
  • Proficiency with Procore and MS Office; BIM/VDC coordination experience valued; Primavera P6 and Bluebeam a plus
