Job summary

MRINetwork is seeking a Project Manager for a well-established General Contractor in the Pittsburgh area. The role requires at least 4 years of experience managing commercial, institutional, and government projects from award to closeout, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.

Project Manager – General Contractor

Highland Consulting Group is a National Executive Recruiting firm that specializes in recruiting top performers in the construction industry. We are working with a well‑established General Contractor in the Pittsburgh, PA area that has an immediate need for a seasoned Project Manager.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Project Manager working with Commercial, Institutional, and Government construction projects. The position works projects from award to closeout, handling large, long‑term projects with a high level of sophistication. Remote work is possible; little travel is required as most work is within a reasonable commute.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects
• Prepares and manages schedules
• Estimates change orders
• Negotiates all change orders and maintains change order logs
• Manages project budgets and approves all expenses
• Handles contract administration
• Buys out subcontracts & equipment
• Interfaces with the owner on all projects assigned
• Assembles and maintains complete project records and close‑out documents
• Performs project punch‑list inspections in coordination with superintendents and the owner’s representative, and issues punch lists to all relevant subcontractors
• Stays in contact with past clients for repeat work
