Highland Consulting Group is recruiting an Assistant Project Manager for a Regional Mechanical Contractor in the Pittsburgh, PA area. The role focuses on coordinating piping, plumbing, and sheet metal projects, with a clear path to Project Management.

We seek candidates with 4+ years of Assistant PM experience on commercial or industrial mechanical projects, capable of managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, budgets, and owner liaison activities.

• Assist the Project Manager in managing and supervising all phases of assigned projects.

We are recruiting successful candidates that preferably have a 5 years experience or more as an Assistant Project Manager working with Commercial or Industrial Mechanical projects.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Project Manager in managing and supervising all phases of assigned projects
• Manage the submittal process
• Respond to or create RFI's as needed
• Assist in negotiating all change orders and maintain change order logs
• Work with the Project Manager to manage the project budget and approve all expenses
• Interface with the Owner on all projects assigned

• Work with the Project Manager to perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the Owner’s Representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors
• Estimate change orders

• Assist in the Buyout of subcontracts & equipment
