Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects — from preconstruction through closeout — ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors, while leading internal project teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including budget, schedule, quality, and safety performance.
  • Coordinate with preconstruction and estimating teams to develop accurate budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
  • Lead project planning meetings, establish milestones, and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Administer contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, change orders, and progress billings.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Oversee procurement, subcontractor selection, and materials management.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project documentation including reports, cost tracking, and closeout materials.
  • Mentor and support Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and field teams in daily operations.
  • Drive accountability and uphold high standards of quality, professionalism, and teamwork across all project phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects in the $5M–$50M range.
  • Strong knowledge of construction delivery methods including CM at‑Risk and Design‑Build.
  • Proficient in scheduling, cost control, and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
