H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager, Field Planning Experience to lead initiatives that support client and associate experiences across the tax preparation journey.

You will partner with teams across client experience workflows and field leadership to turn business priorities into clear, executable plans. This role ensures readiness for launches of new products, services, processes, and experiences, driving adoption, readiness, and continuous improvement while connecting enterprise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
  • 3-5 years related project management, operations, field support, product readiness, analytics, communications, or cross-functional business experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group; ability to lead in a matrix environment and at a distance (virtually)
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated effectiveness in presenting complex information to multiple organizational levels, with strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and product planning tools
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies
  • Track record of establishing priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects that support client and associate experiences across multiple business initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional work to align priorities, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Translate business changes into field-ready communications, guidance, and readiness materials.
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and adoption indicators.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from tax offices, advisors, clients, and business partners to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support pilot programs, testing activities, and phased rollouts to evaluate experience enhancements and business outcomes.
  • Develop job aids, frequently asked questions, leadership resources, and support materials that improve execution and understanding.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions that improve readiness and adoption.
  • Escalate project risks and barriers that may affect timing, quality, client experience, or business results.
  • Document lessons learned, performance insights, and recommendations that strengthen future initiatives and experiences.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, Field Planning Experience, you will lead initiatives that support key client and associate experiences across the tax preparation journey. You will partner with teams across the client experience journey workflows and field leadership to turn business priorities into clear, executable plans. This role helps ensure teams are prepared to successfully launch new products, services, processes, and experiences while driving adoption, readiness, and continuous improvement. You'll play an important role in connecting enterprise priorities with the needs of tax offices and the clients they serve.

  • Coordinate work across cross-functional teams to align priorities, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification, equivalent project management training, or completed coursework toward project management certification
  • Tax, financial services, retail, seasonal operations, field leadership, or consulting experience
  • Familiarity with compliance, governance, regulatory requirements, or risk management practices
  • Experience with H&R Block Assisted Tax operations, field systems, product readiness, or field-facing support channels
  • Experience using dashboards, operational metrics, feedback themes, or performance insights to support project decisions

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$62,800.00 - $94,200.00/Yr.
