Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Advisor, Field Planning Readiness to serve as a key link between the Field Planning team and field leadership. You will support readiness initiatives, coordinate with project managers and field leaders, and translate changes into field-ready guidance and resources.

You will monitor milestones, gather feedback, and help drive adoption across offices, districts, and regions, while partnering with stakeholders to clarify expectations and navigate change.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in field operations, business operations, project support, change enablement, training, coaching, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and practically.

Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives that improve field readiness, leader effectiveness, associate experiences, and operational execution across multiple business priorities.
  • Coordinate work with project managers, Field Planning partners, field leaders, and cross-functional teams to align priorities, dependencies, timelines, readiness needs, and deliverables.
  • Translate business changes into field-ready communications, guidance, job aids, FAQs, leadership resources, and support materials.
  • Monitor initiative milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, adoption indicators, and field readiness concerns.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from offices, field leaders, associates, and business partners to identify barriers, best practices, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support pilot programs, testing activities, readiness reviews, and phased rollouts by helping evaluate field execution, leader understanding, and operational impact.
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify expectations, answer operational questions, and help leaders navigate change.
  • Identify practical solutions that improve readiness, adoption, consistency, and execution across offices, districts, regions, and operational teams.
  • Escalate project risks, field barriers, and operational concerns that may affect timing, quality, associate experience, client experience, or business results.
  • Document lessons learned, performance insights, field feedback, and recommendations that strengthen future initiatives and readiness efforts.

About the Role

The Advisor, Field Planning Readiness serves as a key connection point between the Field Planning team andField leadership. This role supports the successful implementation of operational initiatives by partnering with field leaders, project teams, and cross-functional partners to drive readiness, gather feedback, identifybarriers, and support adoption.

The Advisor works closely with Area Experience Leaders, DistrictExperienceManagers, RegionalExperienceDirectors, and field teams to provide coaching, clarification, operational support, and field-facing insight. This role helps translate field needs into actionable recommendations for project managers and business leaders while supporting continuous improvement across WorkforcePlanningand Facilities Readiness initiatives.

This position may support a variety of projects throughout the year based on business priorities, seasonal needs, and readiness efforts.

Day to Day, You’ll...

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in field operations, business operations, project support, change enablement, training, coaching, or related roles
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and practically
  • Experience gathering feedback, documenting issues, and supporting operational improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and support work across multiple initiatives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence without authority and work effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and collaboration tools
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience coaching, advising, or influencing field leaders, operational leaders, or cross-functional partners to support adoption of business initiatives
  • Experience facilitating leader discussions, clarifying expectations, answering operational questions, and helping leaders navigate change
  • Strong ability to influence without authority and build credibility with leaders across multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience supporting large-scale operational initiatives, pilots, readiness activities, or change management efforts.
  • Ability to translate field feedback, leader concerns, and operational barriers into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Experience identifying and sharing best practices across offices, districts, regions, or operational teams
  • Background in field operations, seasonal operations, retail operations, tax operations, financial services, or franchise operations preferred
  • Formal training or demonstrated experience in coaching, facilitation, change management, continuous improvement, or leader enablement
  • Familiarity with H&R Block field operations, systems, and leader support processes preferred

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$53,800.00 - $80,700.00/Yr.
