Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Federal Construction to oversee large DOD projects at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, SD. You will coordinate with government stakeholders and manage high-value programs now in execution.

Lead pre-construction through closeout, oversee budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders and subcontractors while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• General contractor experience is required.
• Federal, DoD, USACE, or military construction experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, budgets, and contracts.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Bluebeam and CM software preferred.
• Willingness to travel for project sites.

Travel: Regular travel to project sites, including Rapid City, SD

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 + 15% project completion bonus

Schedule: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, approximately 45–50 hours/week

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Federal Construction to oversee large-scale DOD construction projects supporting the B-21 Raider mission at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, SD.

You’ll take over 2–3 projects with a combined value of approximately $157M, with a structured handoff from the existing project team.

Projects Include

• $46M Maintenance Unit renovation and addition

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and vendors
• Manage RFIs, submittals, permits, and change orders
• Lead project meetings and coordinate with project teams
• Monitor quality, safety, and project progress
