Job summary

Michael Page US is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee local projects in the Minneapolis area. The role focuses on leading teams, coordinating multi-discipline efforts, and delivering on client expectations with rigorous cost and schedule management.

The Successful Applicant will hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, bring 5–15 years of construction experience, and demonstrate strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5–15 years of construction experience on retail, commercial, or multifamily projects.
  • Motivated to learn and advance at a fast pace.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction technology; proficient in reviewing and understanding construction documents (specs and drawings).
  • Excellent communication skills with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee management of construction projects and lead the team to achieve goals and client expectations.
  • Coordinate project requirements across disciplines for efficient collaboration.
  • Review reporting systems, prepare comprehensive progress and cost reports for clients and senior management.
  • Promote and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare bid packages, analyze bids, and make award recommendations.
  • Establish and monitor project costs and schedules.
  • Review vendor submittals and expedite materials/equipment delivery.
  • Prepare project status reports to keep clients informed and coordinated.
  • Develop site utilization plans and determine crew sizes.

Job Description
  • Oversee the successful management of construction projects, providing leadership to the team in achieving project goals, objectives, and client expectations.
  • Ensure efficient coordination of project requirements, leading the team in collaborative and synergistic efforts with other disciplines.
  • Review all reporting systems and procedures, and prepare comprehensive reports to clients and senior management, detailing progress and costs.
  • Promote and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare individual packages for competitive bidding of project work, receive, analyze, and clarify all bids, and make award recommendations.
  • Establish and monitor project costs and schedules.
  • Receive, review, and process all vendor submittals, including expediting the delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare all required project status reports to keep clients informed and coordinated.
  • Develop and implement site utilization plans, and establish the necessary crew sizes

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related area of study
  • 5-15 years of construction experience working on retail, commercial, or multifamily projects
  • Motivated to learn and advance at a fast pace
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
