Qualifications

• 7–9 years of project management experience.

• Active PMI PMP certification for a minimum of 5 years.
• Candidates must provide PMP certification copy with submission.
• At least 7 years managing technically complex initiatives involving multiple IT teams and vendors.
• Experience with EHR/EMR, health informatics, and health IT.
• Experience implementing an EHR in an environment previously using paper-based charting.
• Strong project governance, stakeholder management, communication, risk management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full EHR implementation lifecycle, from planning through testing, go-live, and transition to operations.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Coordinate IT, clinical, data, infrastructure, security, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Manage project priorities, dependencies, resources, and overall delivery.
• Coordinate system testing, quality reviews, implementation, training, and OCM activities.
• Maintain RAID logs, risk mitigation plans, and project documentation.
• Provide regular status reports, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure compliance with PMO standards, processes, and procedures.
• Support SharePoint/Teams documentation and mentor junior project management staff.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation across multiple healthcare locations and clinical teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex EHR/EMR, health informatics, and health IT projects, including implementations involving organizations transitioning from paper-based charting to an electronic health record system.

This role will manage the project from planning through implementation and transition to ongoing operations, while coordinating technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and organizational change activities.
