Senior IT Project Manager, EHR Implementation

A public-sector healthcare organization seeks a Pennsylvania-based Senior IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of an electronic health record (EHR) system across dozens of health centers and multiple clinical programs.

Required Qualifications

• Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification held for at least five years. Candidates must submit proof of current certification with their resume.
• Seven or more years of project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience implementing an EHR or EMR for an organization transitioning from paper-based records.
• Experience in health IT, health informatics, and organizational change management.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects from planning through implementation.
• Strong skills in project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communication, testing, training, and vendor coordination.
• Current Pennsylvania residency.
• Ability to work onsite in Harrisburg approximately two to three days per week and attend occasional offsite meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of a large-scale EHR implementation.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, communications, and risk/issue logs.
• Coordinate program, IT, vendor, and clinical stakeholders.
• Manage requirements, testing, training, change management, and implementation readiness.
• Track milestones, deliverables, quality, risks, and project performance.
• Provide regular status updates and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable project management standards and organizational procedures.
• Facilitate meetings, resolve issues, and maintain project documentation in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
