Key Responsibilities
Project Development & Site Diligence
  • Lead initial site assessments and technical diligence for distributed energy projects.
  • Coordinate collection of technical, site, utility, permitting, and operational information required to define project scope, feasibility, constructability, schedule, and cost.
  • Identify site constraints, utility requirements, constructability concerns, operational limitations, and other factors that could affect project feasibility or execution.
  • Coordinate preliminary engineering, equipment selection, conceptual layouts, utility coordination, interconnection diligence, and permitting strategy.
Estimating, Pricing & Proposal Support
  • Coordinate vendor, subcontractor, EPC, and equipment pricing required to develop project CAPEX.
  • Work with MG3's commercial and engineering teams to develop complete and executable project scopes.
  • Support project estimates, schedules, assumptions, exclusions, contingency, and commercial inputs.
  • Identify long-lead equipment, major cost drivers, project risks, and scope gaps before commercial commitment.
  • Support proposal development and contract review to ensure technical scope and project assumptions align with commercial commitments.
Project Planning & Controls
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, critical-path activities, dependencies, and required decision dates.
  • Track progress against schedule and identify delays, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Manage project CAPEX budgets, contingencies, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and cost-to-complete.
  • Review EPC and vendor invoices, milestone payments, change orders, and other project costs.
  • Manage project scope and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
Engineering, Procurement & Construction
  • Coordinate engineering activities, design reviews, technical decisions, RFIs, submittals, and open items.
  • Support procurement and track long-lead equipment, manufacturing schedules, logistics, and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate activities among EPC contractors, OEMs, engineering partners, utilities, customers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction progress against schedule, budget, scope, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Support utility interconnection, permitting, inspections, testing, energization, and commissioning.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
  • Serve as a primary point of coordination among MG3, customers, contractors, utilities, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead recurring project coordination meetings and maintain clear ownership of actions, decisions, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Track key contractual obligations, milestones, warranties, payment terms, and schedule commitments.
  • Identify and escalation significant project risks, issues, and decisions requiring leadership involvement.
  • Maintain project reporting and provide MG3 leadership with visibility into schedule, budget, forecast, procurement, construction progress, risk, and key decisions.
Commissioning & Closeout
  • Coordinate commissioning plans, testing, energization, commercial operation, and final project acceptance.
  • Track punch-list completion and organize required closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, O&M manuals, warranties, permits, and approvals.
  • Support turnover of completed assets to MG3 operations, asset management, controls/EMS, and market operations teams.
  • Capture lessons learned and help improve MG3's project delivery processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering, project development, construction management, EPC project management, or a related infrastructure role.
  • Experience managing technically complex energy, electrical, construction, or infrastructure projects.
