About The Role

We're looking for a Project Manager- Design on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). With support, you will provide project management and design services for distribution facilities. You will use your diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to broaden a variety of assignments and related fields. Be the single contact for projects in the service territory. Responsible for project scope until the customer is satisfied. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in the design of the Distribution System, both in new construction and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform work order assessment and complete the most complex of designs to meet internal/external customer needs requirements
• Coordinate planning, organization and implementation of engineering projects with other operating or engineering units to facilitate assignment completion.
• Produce a resource estimate (man‑hours, materials, work type) necessary to implement the work
• Evaluate distribution system capability to serve new load while understanding and mitigating potential future impacts of the new load
• Provide and maintain cost‑effective design while considering the impact to the customer and valid customer requests
• Project management, design, estimating, negotiations, performance tracking and reporting
• Responsible for all aspects of engineering design and permitting
• Work with other departments within the organization to establish customer requirements and project cost
• Standards, policies, training, and support of organization - communications, meetings, improvement measures
• Meet attendance and storm responsibility requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study or High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work experience.

3+ years experience in a combination of the following areas:

• Distribution/Utility Customer interactions and negotiations
• Electric Power Technology Certification

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $29.00/hr to $34.00/hr.
