Job Description
The Project Manager will oversee distribution projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of projects: routing/siting, permitting, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, procurement, construction administration, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and developing repeat business.
- Prepare proposals, assist with presentations, and support contract negotiations.
- Monitor schedules, manage scope, control costs, and maintain accurate project financials (forecasts, accruals, risk/change management).
- Ensure effective communication, reporting, and adherence to QA/QC guidelines.
- Lead project teams, coordinating staffing, mentoring, and training as needed.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, schedules, costs, procurement, and risk factors.
- Travel to client and project sites as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- 7+ years of progressive distribution engineering experience, with 3+ years in project management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Experience producing distribution design and construction documents.
- Knowledge of NESC and other applicable industry codes/standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present to all levels.
- Proven track record in project delivery and client relationship management.
- Preferred: PE license, PMP certification, prior consulting experience.
- Ability to travel; valid drivers license required.
