Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Project Manager – Design for a 1-year contract (W‑2) to deliver project management and design services for distribution facilities, covering new construction and maintenance. You will be the single contact for projects in the assigned service territory.

• Minimum 3 years in distribution/utility interactions or negotiations.
• Electric Power Technology certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform work order assessment and complete complex designs to meet internal/external customer requirements.
• Coordinate planning, organization, and implementation of engineering projects with operating or engineering units.
• Produce resource estimates (man-hours, materials, work type) necessary to implement work.
• Evaluate distribution system capability to serve new load and mitigate future impacts.
• Provide cost-effective design within customer constraints and valid requests.
• Manage project scope, design, estimating, negotiations, performance tracking, and reporting.
• Oversee all aspects of engineering design and permitting.
• Collaborate with other departments to establish customer requirements and project cost.
• Maintain standards, policies, training, and support, including communications, meetings, and improvement measures.
• Meet attendance and storm responsibility requirements.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform work order assessment and complete complex designs to meet internal/external customer requirements.
• Coordinate planning, organization, and implementation of engineering projects with operating or engineering units.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a combination of the following areas:

• Distribution/Utility customer interactions and negotiations.
• Electric Power Technology certification.

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate of $29.00 / hr to $34.00 / hr, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
