Job summary

PowerGrid Services is seeking a Construction Project Manager to coordinate with Client Project Managers, drive change management, and oversee procurement for Data Center projects in Indiana.

You will collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and tools, develop schedules, manage budgets, and uphold AMPP guidelines and safety standards across sites. This role requires travel across the US as needed and a focus on communication, organization, and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Strong communication with clients and project managers.
  • Experience coordinating procurement and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with Client Project Managers.
  • Manage change orders and contract communications.
  • Report on construction progress daily, weekly, monthly.
  • Procure equipment and materials as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Track materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with AMPP Construction guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist with proposals and schedule development.
  • Verify constructability and resource allocations.

Job description

About the Role

The role involves constant coordination and communication with Client Project Managers, ensuring effective change management, and overseeing the procurement of equipment and materials. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and management of materials and tools for our Data Center projects located in Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Constant coordination and communication with Client Project Managers
  • Change Management – ensures any changes to the contract are identified, tracked, and communicated back to the client Project Managers
  • Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly on construction progress
  • Procurement of equipment and materials as needed
  • Work collaboratively with vendors/suppliers to ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered as needed
  • Material tracking and management
  • Tool and equipment tracking and management
  • Ensures projects are efficiently, effectively, and safely implemented in accordance with AMPP Construction’s guidelines, client contracts and policies, and local/federal regulations
  • Assists with preparation and review of proposals
  • Schedule development and tracking
  • Verifies constructability, ensures proper resource allocations, assesses field status, and resolves issues as needed
  • Reviews budget, schedule, quality, risk trackers, and contingency allocations
  • Interfaces with clients acting as a representative of AMPP Construction
  • Supervises activities and/or coordinates activities or groups, such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget management, scheduling
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field is required

  • Communication skills – to the project manager, clients, and third parties
  • Organization and multi-tasking between multiple active projects

  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Driver’s License – ability to drive throughout the US
