Job description

A growing engineering and construction organization is seeking a Project Manager to support its Mission Critical team, focusing on data centers and telecommunications facilities. This role is client-facing and responsible for managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with clients and contractors, and drive successful project execution across all phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Manage all phases of project delivery, including planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout
  • Coordinate with design teams, general contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Lead teams conducting technical studies and preparing reports
  • Oversee design development, including conceptual plans, construction documents, and cost estimates
  • Manage and track project scope, schedule, budget, and quality metrics
  • Develop cost-saving strategies, including change orders and value engineering efforts
  • Support proposal development, including scope definition, scheduling, and fee coordination
  • Assist with client relationship management and ongoing communication
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of relevant project management experience
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and quality requirements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to mentor team members and drive project alignment with business goals
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 15–30% for site visits, meetings, and project support
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work on a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods
