Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager with engineering project delivery and on-site construction experience to manage U.S. data center cooling and liquid cooling projects from planning through commissioning and handover. Experience with equipment suppliers, system integrators, contractors, or subcontractors is preferred. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is highly preferred for close collaboration with China-based teams. U.S. site travel is required; direct data center or liquid cooling experience is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned engineering projects from kickoff and site preparation through installation, commissioning, customer acceptance, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, resource plans, and action logs.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, contractors, and field teams to meet project requirements and contractual commitments.
  • Track scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery risks; coordinate corrective actions and **escalate** issues requiring management support.
  • Coordinate construction and equipment installation activities at customer and project sites within the company’s assigned scope.
  • Verify site readiness, including access, utilities, prerequisite work, installation areas, and contractor availability.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery, positioning, installation, and mechanical and electrical connections with responsible site teams.
  • Align daily activities and work sequencing with general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to address installation constraints and interface conflicts.
  • Participate in site meetings, walkthroughs, and inspections to verify progress against approved drawings, specifications, installation procedures, and site safety requirements.
  • Identify field issues, assign follow-up actions, and track deficiencies through resolution.
  • Represent the company as an equipment or solution provider in project execution meetings with customers, owners, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Serve as a primary contact for assigned projects and maintain clear communication on progress, risks, changes, and required decisions.
  • Clarify scope boundaries, installation responsibilities, technical interfaces, and dependencies among project participants.
  • Coordinate submittals, site access, delivery windows, inspections, and acceptance activities in line with customer and contractor requirements.
  • Document customer instructions and project commitments, and follow up on agreed actions.
4. Engineering & Technical Coordination
  • Coordinate reviews of engineering drawings, equipment layouts, specifications, technical submittals, and installation requirements.
  • Track requests for information (RFIs), technical clarifications, and engineering responses needed to support site execution.
  • Identify discrepancies between design documents and actual site conditions and coordinate resolution with engineering teams.
  • Communicate field constraints, equipment integration requirements, and customer feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure approved technical changes are communicated to site personnel and reflected in relevant project documentation.
5. Project Controls & Change Management
  • Track project costs, schedule performance, quality issues, and risks within the assigned scope.
  • Identify constraints related to equipment lead times, construction progress, contractor readiness, and resource availability.
  • Maintain risk and issue logs with clear owners, deadlines, and escalation paths.
  • Document out-of-scope requests and site changes; coordinate assessment of cost and schedule impacts and obtain required approvals before implementation.
  • Maintain records of delays, completed work, and customer decisions to support change orders, reporting, and closeout.
  • Coordinate installation completion checks, testing, commissioning, and customer inspections.
  • Confirm personnel, utilities, documentation, and site conditions are ready before testing begins.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting among field personnel, engineering, and service teams.
  • Track test results, punch-list items, and corrective actions through customer acceptance.
  • Compile handover documents, including installation records, test reports, commissioning documents, operation and maintenance manuals, and as‑built documentation, as applicable.
  • Support customer training, transition to service teams, and lessons‑learned reviews.
7. Collaboration with China-Based Teams
  • Coordinate regularly with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and headquarters teams in China.
