Midea America Corp is a leading global home appliance company expanding its North American footprint. We are bringing data center cooling solutions to the U.S. market and seek a Field Project Manager to own on-site delivery from arrival to sign-off.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project delivery, project management, or engineering management in data centers, HVAC, MEP, or related industries.
  • Familiar with end-to-end delivery of data center projects, from manufacture to handover.
  • Knowledge of data center cooling products and systems is preferred.
  • PMP or other PM certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for regional data center project delivery management from order to handover and acceptance.
  • Act as regional delivery owner, coordinating resources across sales, technical, product, supply chain, installation, commissioning, after-sales and external partners.
  • Develop and manage delivery plans, tracking milestones such as production, shipment, installation, commissioning, and acceptance.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and changes; drive cross-functional resolution to maintain schedule, quality and cost.
  • Interface with customers, EPCs, consultants, general contractors, and site teams; organize delivery meetings and site coordination.
  • Drive regional delivery standardization, including processes, templates, and lessons learned.
  • Support platform and regional teams on project fulfillment and handover for expansion or replication projects.

Midea is bringing its data center cooling solutions - chillers, CDUs, and thermal management equipment - to the U.S. market. We need a Field Project Manager to own on-site delivery from arrival to sign-off. You'll be the person on the ground ensuring every piece of equipment is delivered, installed, and commissioned properly. You'll coordinate contractors, face the customer, and loop in engineering when needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Be responsible for regional data center project delivery management, and oversee the full process from order effectiveness to project handover and acceptance, ensuring successful project execution.
  2. Act as the regional delivery owner, coordinating resources across sales, technical, product, supply chain, installation, commissioning, after-sales, and external partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
  3. Develop and manage delivery plans, and track key milestones including production, shipment, customs clearance, arrival, installation, commissioning, acceptance, and payment support.
  4. Identify and manage project delivery risks, issues, and changes, and drive cross-functional resolution to ensure schedule, quality, and cost remain under control.
  5. Interface with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, general contractors, and site teams, organize delivery meetings, site coordination, and stage acceptance, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  6. Drive regional delivery standardization, including delivery processes, templates, lessons learned, and best practice sharing, to improve execution efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  7. Support the platform and regional teams on key project fulfillment, delivery review, and handover for follow-on expansion or replication projects, forming a closed loop from sales to delivery and after-sales.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in HVAC, Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Engineering Management, or related fields.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in project delivery, project management, or engineering management in data centers, HVAC, MEP, central cooling plants, liquid cooling, or related industries.
  3. Familiar with the end-to-end delivery process of data center projects, including equipment manufacturing, logistics, installation, commissioning, acceptance, and after-sales handover.
  4. Knowledge of data center cooling products and systems, including primary-side and secondary-side systems, liquid cooling CDU, fan wall, precision air conditioning, and chiller applications, is preferred.
  5. Strong project planning, site coordination, risk control, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive complex project delivery.
  6. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, and ability to work effectively with customers, EPCs, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
  7. Experience in Hyperscaler, Colo, AI data center, or ICT infrastructure project delivery is preferred.
  8. Experience working with EPC contractors, general contractors, consultants, or large system integrators is preferred.
  9. PMP or other project management certifications are preferred.
