Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical and plumbing projects in Roanoke, VA. You will own projects from pre-construction planning to close-out, coordinating clients, general contractors, subs, suppliers, and field crews to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and contract compliance.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and documentation using Procore and MS Project, while applying strong financial oversight and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing commercial construction projects (mechanical/plumbing emphasis)
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, schedules, and priorities
• Solid grasp of project financials: budgeting, job costing, forecasting, cost control
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience in Procore or similar software
• Strong ability to read/interpret drawings, specs, and contracts; excellent communication and leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial MEP projects from planning through close-out while maintaining safety and quality standards
• Build and maintain CPM schedules, budgets, and documentation using Procore, MS Project, and related tools
• Track job costs, forecasts, billings, and change orders; prepare monthly project health reports
• Negotiate and manage contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, and change documentation
• Coach and direct Superintendents and field teams, resolving technical/logistical challenges
• Cultivate strong relationships with owners, GCs, design professionals, and suppliers

Job Details

As a Project Manager, you will take full ownership of multiple commercial mechanical and plumbing projects, from pre-construction planning through close-out. You’ll be the hub connecting clients, GCs, subs, suppliers, and internal field crews, ensuring projects finish safely, on schedule, within budget, and to contract specifications. Your financial savvy, leadership, and problem-solving skills will drive profitable results and exceed client expectations.

Preferred extras that will set you apart: 7+ years MEP experience, Primavera P6 or advanced scheduling expertise, prior supervisory responsibility, and exposure to estimating or contract administration.
