As a member of Barts Electric’s operations and project management team, you will oversee all aspects of assigned commercial electrical projects from commencement to completion—managing them in a manner that exceeds customer expectations and adheres to company safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage electrical construction projects, ensuring safety, profitability, timeliness, high quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and generate new business; network, establish, and maintain customer relationships.
  • Promote a positive company culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
  • Work proactively with the Purchasing Department and vendors to ensure effective material procurement and coordination.
  • Attend all required internal and external project meetings (e.g., ORMs, staff meetings, jobsite coordination meetings, internal financial meetings).
  • Participate in the field staff performance review process; conduct timely employee performance reviews with senior leadership, coach employees on growth opportunities, and establish merit wage increases.
  • Manage all aspects of project documentation—including submittals, RFIs, contract drawings, and communications.
  • Negotiate subcontracts, generate scopes of work, and initiate internal processes to generate subcontracts.
  • Manage sub‑tiered subcontractors to ensure accurate, safe, high‑quality scope performance and adherence to our standards, including production, submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
  • Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
  • Prepare change‑order requests, project reports, and documentation.
  • Review daily reports generated by foremen.
  • Approve time entered by foremen.
  • Walk jobsites with foremen and crew to verify progress, quality, and safety.
  • Assist in pre‑construction as required.
  • Establish project budget and manpower forecast with the foreman/superintendent.
  • Complete monthly financial projections on time and review with the Vice President of Operations.
  • Review assigned project proposals or plans to determine time frame, budget, and procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the project.
  • Direct project personnel and outline responsibilities, duties, and scope of authority.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Keep the Vice President of Operations informed of project status and any needed changes.
  • Oversee the project budget and approve all expenditures and change orders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company, general contractors, and suppliers, providing technical advice for process improvement and problem resolution.
  • Communicate with pre‑construction and estimating teams regarding transition from bid to construction.
  • Supervise and provide performance feedback to field superintendents and foremen.
  • Oversee final approval and letter‑of‑occupancy process with builder/general contractor.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Construction, Electrical Engineering, or related field; OR 5 years’ experience in the electrical field and 1 year of electrical estimating experience.
  • Travel: 20% – 50%, as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ProCore, BlueBeam, and other computer programs and platforms.
  • Ability to work independently or in teams, think creatively and analytically, and make quick, sound decisions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Electrical field experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum or Vista is preferred but not required.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000
