Job summary

S&B Services in Dallas is seeking a driven Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception to final handover. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and team coordination, while ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
• 3–10 years' construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading municipal and utility projects is preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Collaborate with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in proposals, review scope, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors.
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
• Local travel to project sites within the Dallas is required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout

Necessary Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration
• 3-10 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
• Previous experience leading municipality and utility projects is preferred
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
