Job summary

S&B Services is seeking a Project Manager in Dallas to oversee projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients, design teams, and subcontractors. You will manage budgets, schedules, and procurement, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with strong client satisfaction.

The role requires leading preconstruction planning, on-site leadership, and regular progress reviews, with travel to Dallas-area sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
• 3-10 years' of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Previous experience leading municipality and utility projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, discuss cost reductions, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to resolve constructability, sequencing, or manpower issues.
• Lead on-site weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings to review progress and address challenges with client.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay apps, cost status, and progress billing reports.
• Local travel to project sites within Dallas is required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports
• Local travel to project sites within the Dallas is required

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
