Job summary

S&B Services in Dallas is seeking a motivated Project Manager to oversee construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate clients, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a BS in a related field, 3–10 years of CM or design experience, and proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project. Local travel within Dallas is required, and the company offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
• 3–10 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading municipality and utility projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Collaborate with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review scope, discuss cost reduction, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure materials and/or specialty equipment to fit budget or schedule.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site during construction to review progress and address challenges.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
• Local travel to project sites within Dallas is required.
